Davin Aoyagi is a seasoned professional with an extensive background in government relations, public affairs, and communications. His wealth of experience and demonstrated expertise have been instrumental in shaping his successful career in public service and political strategy.

Davin’s most significant role was serving as the Chief of Staff for the Honolulu City Council from November 2020 to November 2022. During his tenure, he gained invaluable experience in local governance, providing strategic guidance and leading operations at the highest level of the council. Prior to this position, he was the Deputy Chief of Staff from May 2019 to October 2020, building foundational knowledge and expertise in local government workings.

Before his roles with the Honolulu City Council, Aoyagi served as the Hawaii-Pacific Grassroots Manager at the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN) from June 2016 to May 2019. His role there showcased his ability to mobilize and manage grassroots initiatives, demonstrating his skills in advocacy and community engagement. He also possesses experiences at the state and federal level through work with the Hawaii State Legislature and the House Democratic Caucus. In addition to his work experience, Davin currently serves as the Vice Chair of the Oahu County Democratic Party and is on the Hawaii Pacific Board of Directors for the American Cancer Society, further demonstrating his dedication to civic engagement and health advocacy.

Davin also brings a decade of campaign experience, working to elect many of Hawaii’s political leaders.
